I've always had a thing for making everything I touch easier to use. It comes from growing up where complexity was a show of intelligence, and deciding I'd rather be useful.
A framework I wrote for myself because I wanted something light that stayed out of my way. It grew into a family: Leaf, MVC, CLI, auth, db, and a lot of its users happen to live in the part of the world I'm moving to.
Wise for Africa, powered by web3: virtual accounts, virtual cards, USDC and USDT, and cross-border transfers. I lead engineering here, which means the team, the architecture, and the things that have to be right the first time, because it's people's money.
A studio my friends and I run to make whatever we feel like, some of it for clients and a lot of it just because, and the point is that it never stops feeling like play.
Wheels up 24 March 2027, which is days, hours and minutes from right now.
Seven hours ahead of everyone I know, and I'm documenting all of it: the money, the paperwork, the first commit from the other side, the parts that go wrong. The whole thing, not the highlight reel.
I'll stop whatever I'm doing to watch a rocket launch, a test flight, or a good physics video. Biology in high school, business at university, IT the whole way through. Off the clock: waterfalls with bad signal, and Figma files that will never ship.
What I'm about is building things people can pick up without a manual: a framework that stays out of the way, a fintech that moves people's money and gets it right, a studio where the work still feels like play. Nine years of that from Accra, and I'm still not done with the idea.
What's next is honestly open, and I like it that way. A change of environment is coming, and I'm curious what building from a new place does to the work. If you're making something interesting and want to compare notes, I'm always up for that conversation.
